Welcome to our living room. You'll find it takes a certain "bonkers" way of thinking about things to hang out here. No one will ever ask you to leave, but you might feel uncomfortable being here if "our tribe don't dig your vibe." The emphasis is on creativity, spontaneity, and improvisation. Most of us know each other here. Many of us are related. We use aliases just for the hell of it.

Theresa Spry is also running against him, as is Alice McCoy on the Repub side. He might not even make it into the Genera, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Anyway, it's good to see all these women standing up to be counted. Great in fact.
I hate that such a crappy guy has gotten national attention!
Well, Spin, lot's of crappy guys do. The Duke University rape squad for example. I kinda think it's good when a bad guy becomes a nationally recognized scumbag.
What will blow me away is if he get's elected again. (Bob Newland thinks he will.)
What is Newland's thinking Owl? Your post made my heart sink.
He thinks nobody can overcome Napoli's name ID. To some degree he's right. I've been through that in elections before, and won some that I shouldn't have.
People vote for the name they know. Stupid but it works. The way to counter it is to make the opponants name as visible as possible the last 2 weeks before the polls and hope Bill doesn't do the same. A jillion yard signs, bumperstickers, name up big in newspaper ads, etc. Name, name, name, name, name.
Brainless? Yup. Effective? Yup.
But name ID works both ways, Owl. They remember him as an incumbent, but they also remember him as the guy promoting HB 1215 with a ridiculous "exceptoion" story.
"If she's sodomized and gets pregnant..."
Really?
All I'm saying is that whoever wants to beat Napoli has to get their name out there, bigtime... especially if McCoy doesn't beat him in the primaries. It's really, really, really important, no kidding. "Spry" paint on every wall in Rapid Valley if you have to.
