Rhode Island is a bitch. So is Kansas without any references.
"...without cheating"... How could you cheat, Skogg?
You could cheat by using a real map.
I gave my practice run score. My second run had a 4 mile error average and a 96% placement.
I think it really comes down to what your first few states are...if you start with states like Kansas or Colorado, you're screwed.
Even if you have a real map, it won't do you much good, unless you really have no clue where anything is.

Skogg's right, if you basically know where things are, it's all about what comes up first and how fast you move. I wouldn't have done any better at all looking at a map.
