I only caught a few minutes of it...I'll try and find a transcript of it online and maybe add my $0.02.

Sidenote: Why is it adding two cents?

Skogg and Spin,
The full text of Libby's indictment is available at cnn.com. As young Flick the Fly used to say, "it is too-licious."

Thanks, Owl.

First of all, before going into what I think about the statement, I do find it curious that Libby was not charged with outing the "CIA employee." (Valerie Wilson) Rather, he was indicted with (1) obstruction of justice, (2) making false statements, and (3) perjury - which is making false statements while under oath. These are all serious charges, but not as serious as the actual "outing."

Secondly, that's all I have to say right now. Sidenote: The baseball analogy used by Fitzgerald makes everything more confusing.

It will be interesting to see if/what Karl Rove is charged with...maybe they're holding out to get him with the actual "outing."

Not serious?!

I'd call a maximum sentence of 30 years in prision and a $1.5 million fine pretty f***ing serious, Skogg!

Plus there's no guarantee that there won't be more charges to come, once P. Fitz. turns up the heat.

(Just tryin' to scrub that Repub auto-spin tendancy outta ya, Skogg. It's a hard habit to break, I know.)

Dear Mr. Owl,

If you read my comment in the entirety, you will notice that I called all of those charges serious. However, I stand firm that they are not as serious as the charge specifically blaming an indiviual for outing Valerie Wilson.

Swear at me again, and I'll wire your beat shut. ;)

DAMNIT! I meant beak.

I hate when I have to stack myself on insults...makes them so much less effective.

Experts on both NPR and CNN are saying that Rove will get off and that Libby will be pardoned. Oh, so fickle those rays of light and hope.

I don't know, Ethunk. Patrick Fitz. seems pretty dedicated to this cause. I think we should watch it unfold some more before we throw in the towel.

I read your post over again, Skogg and found your serious thingy, so mea culpa. But if Spin wants to sew my beak shut the way she sewed up your head and turned you green, that would be ok with me.

I think Fitzgerald wen after the slam-dunk stuff first to give his some leverage to dig deeper. The charges you're looking for my yet be forthcoming.
Sounds like Fitz only pulls the trigger when he knows he can't miss. Smart of hin in these times don't you think? After all, he's dealing with some boys who'd love to beat him up and eat his lunch.

Okay, so I've finished raking the leaves off the office floor. Along with some outright gifted pumpkin' carving we had quite a lot of leaf-pile jumping activity as well. So the office became sort of an inside/outside conversion. Great fun! Put it on all of your calendars for next year.

Owl, I hope you are right. This was an interesting morning observation from Americablog.
