I like British Names...

Okay, so Spinfly and I are a wee bit out of control now that we've found this Rum and Monkey site.

Anyway...I really want to know about everybodys' "British Names."

So...post them in the comment section.

What is my British name?

In case you're wondering, if you put in my blog name (Skoggle), my british name is Imogen Walpole. However, if you put in my non-blog name (aka my real name), my British counterpart is Margaret Salisbury.

I love the British.

Okay...get this...based on our names...

Our blog names apparently make us sisters (Margaret and Emily Salisbury).

THEN in our real names...we have the same first name.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

My given name (which I will not reveal here) becomes "Neville Cavendish" and the Owls full name, which is "Boiled Owl Filmore" becomes "Bertie Walpole".
Go figure.

Neville Cavendish sounds like he would be very intelligent on incredibly random subjects...like Moorish Wedding Rituals of the 16th Century.

I'm rather partial to Clarence Wilkinson myself.

Clarence Wilkinson would go to the same restaurant every weekend. He'd sit in the same booth, and he'd be surrounded by up and coming models.

He would always be inappropriately dressed for the occasion.

I love the way the British say the word "Jaguar" through their nasal passages with their lwer jaw thrust forward.

"n' jag-ew-ahh"

Beautiful!

...instead of how we American putzes say it:

"jag-wire"

Dumb.

I want to have a "n' jag-ew-ahh" someday. And when I get one, I won't let anybody ride in it unless they can pronounce the name of the car properly.
