A lovely evening indeed
I had a great time last night. I was just noticing that all but 3 of the members of this blog were at my house last night. I felt that the creative spave we all fell into was a great spave to be in. Thank all of you for coming and the rest of you were there in spirit.
My spellcheck wants to change "spave" to "spoof"... kind of fitting don't you think?

Having Mr. Speck (Sir) there was an extra, added bonus. And what Eeks friend's name again? I'm sorry I forgot. Also, the filé gumbo was outstanding. Thanks Mark! Only downer was: not a harmonica in sight for Termes to toot.
His friend's name was Joey Lore. Quite a wonderful person. I must admit that it was my first gumbo, and I don't think I could have had a better one. I also am somewhat forlorn as to the absense of Harmonica. Oh well, always next time.
Whew, I'm finally getting the chance to tell Spinny and Markie and everyone else how much the gathering last evening meant to me. I think we all needed to gather and celebrate Spring and rain and each other.
Chop summed it up well when he said, "You can always tell a good party by how long the 'old people' stay." And stay late we did.
The only thing that would have made it better is if the rest of the family could have been there.
Happy Spring everyone!
Oh yes, and of course, we did need that sweet Termes harmonica sound as well.
And by "old people, Chop is referring to,,,?
Let's just say he isn't referring to Eeks and Joey.
Now I believe that I never used the term "Old people" (at least in front of any of 'em)
Too late Chop, yer ma done dropped a dime on ya.
Could be woodshed time, Sonny.
