I just wanted to mention
The Iraqi polls are now open.
Welcome to our living room. You'll find it takes a certain "bonkers" way of thinking about things to hang out here. No one will ever ask you to leave, but you might feel uncomfortable being here if "our tribe don't dig your vibe." The emphasis is on creativity, spontaneity, and improvisation. Most of us know each other here. Many of us are related. We use aliases just for the hell of it.

I think it's amazing how strong the Iraqi people feel about exercising their right, some say duty, to vote.
Although shaken, people lined up outside a polling place did not move from the line when a rocket went off in the near vicinity, injuring two civilians and one U.S. Marine.
Whether you agree with the U.S.'s involvement in Iraq...I think we can all agree that it's pretty cool to see the citizens of Iraq voting in an arguably democratic election within a few years of the downfall of a dictatorship.
I'm just saying...
I agree. The sooner they can get their act together, the sooner we can get the hell out of there. Next question. Do we now take it upon ourselves as a nation to go around the world, toppling currupt inuman dictators, trashing, temporarily occupying, and rebuilding the country, and then leaving, hoping for the best? Is that the USA's new mission on the planet?
I'm just saying...
...only if those countries have oil, Owl.
Sad but true, Ethunk.
That's not true. The requirement isn't oil...it's "a leader that hates somebody in the Bush family."
