The Iraqi polls are now open.

Sarah said...: I think it's amazing how strong the Iraqi people feel about exercising their right, some say duty, to vote.

Although shaken, people lined up outside a polling place did not move from the line when a rocket went off in the near vicinity, injuring two civilians and one U.S. Marine.

Whether you agree with the U.S.'s involvement in Iraq...I think we can all agree that it's pretty cool to see the citizens of Iraq voting in an arguably democratic election within a few years of the downfall of a dictatorship.

Do we now take it upon ourselves as a nation to go around the world, toppling currupt inuman dictators, trashing, temporarily occupying, and rebuilding the country, and then leaving, hoping for the best? Is that the USA's new mission on the planet?
