Guess what?

I think I just heard the screech owl singing from a tree in my neighbor's yard.

I'm not sure what they sound like
but this was a very soft sound
that went kind of like this:

Hooooooo Wow! Hoo Hoo Hoo
then a pause,
Then
Hooooooo Wow! Hoo Hoo Hoo again
over and over with minor variations
on how "screechy" the "Wow" part
was. Sometimes soft and low,
sometimes high and more shrill.

I couldn't see the bird, I could just hear it.

Do you think it was the little screech owl
(or a relative)? Are there any audio clips of
screech owls on the internet?

I found some screech owl sounds but they were a different species than ours. I think ours is the
western and the sounds I found were eastern.
I coundn't get the western ones to play.
Can you? (google: "screech owl"+audio)

No, I just heard it. It could have been a pigeon or a dove. It was a very soft song.

Visualize a sign in an alley hanging on a decaying brick wall. The lettering on the sign says,

"Witches' Parking
Violaters Will Be Toad"

Mmmmmuuuuhahahahahahaha.

Tee hee, thanks Popalicious. I've noticed that I can't really come up with any good "Al" based names, but I'm pretty proud of what I can get from the term Pops. Just wanted to say.

It would appear that the toad has changed his look. He looks pretty intense. I hope he's a friendly fella.
