Guess what?
I think I just heard the screech owl singing from a tree in my neighbor's yard.
Welcome to our living room. You'll find it takes a certain "bonkers" way of thinking about things to hang out here. No one will ever ask you to leave, but you might feel uncomfortable being here if "our tribe don't dig your vibe." The emphasis is on creativity, spontaneity, and improvisation. Most of us know each other here. Many of us are related. We use aliases just for the hell of it.

I'm not sure what they sound like
but this was a very soft sound
that went kind of like this:
Hooooooo Wow! Hoo Hoo Hoo
then a pause,
Then
Hooooooo Wow! Hoo Hoo Hoo again
over and over with minor variations
on how "screechy" the "Wow" part
was. Sometimes soft and low,
sometimes high and more shrill.
I couldn't see the bird, I could just hear it.
Do you think it was the little screech owl
(or a relative)? Are there any audio clips of
screech owls on the internet?
Im sure there are. Im very happy for you. I love it every time i hear or see an owl.
I found some screech owl sounds but they were a different species than ours. I think ours is the
western and the sounds I found were eastern.
I coundn't get the western ones to play.
Can you? (google: "screech owl"+audio)
Check these ones out... http://www.owlpages.com/species/otus/kennicottii/Default.htm
Nope, it wasn't either of those songs.
I can get a whole slew of sounds, but you gotta pay for them.
Can you audition them first, Chop?
I only have to hear them once.
are you sure it was a screach owl dad, did you get to see it?
No, I just heard it. It could have been a pigeon or a dove. It was a very soft song.
Great, I just heard some rats in the alley
I don't know, but I do know owls eat toads for lunch.
Toad734 get in my belly!
p.s. Nice picture, Al_OMopolis
Crunch, crunch, munch.
Mmmmm, the head tastes best!
I know a joke about witches and toads.
Anyone, anyone?
Witches and toads? Do tell!!!
Visualize a sign in an alley hanging on a decaying brick wall. The lettering on the sign says,
"Witches' Parking
Violaters Will Be Toad"
Mmmmmuuuuhahahahahahaha.
Tee hee, thanks Popalicious. I've noticed that I can't really come up with any good "Al" based names, but I'm pretty proud of what I can get from the term Pops. Just wanted to say.
It would appear that the toad has changed his look. He looks pretty intense. I hope he's a friendly fella.
I can't see the Toad on my home computer or anyone elses picture. Only at work can I see
those grafix.
Chop, your significant facility with
pop constructions makes you a ........
...wait for it......
