Diminishing clout presents challenges for Bush

Mercury News

...just a curiosity question...Nixon did some very good things during his presidency. Then he did some bad things. I'm looking, searching even, for any good that might result from the BushW Presidency? Thoughts?

I heard somewhere that he has given more than any president to AIDS research.

i have nothing to back that up, its just something i've heard.

Bush has trashed every thing he's touched.

But fortunately, he actually hasn't actually touched much. He can be gone in a whisper, thank goodness.

Yes, 3,000+ lives are significant, as are the 30,000 injured and mained Amerticans, as are the 3,000,000 (three million) native Iraquis who have suffered. But you know what? Compared to past debacles that we seniors have endured, that's still small potatoes.

Isn't that amazing?

Yeah. It's a big mess in the making. But I think we've stopped it.
