Welcome to our living room. You'll find it takes a certain "bonkers" way of thinking about things to hang out here. No one will ever ask you to leave, but you might feel uncomfortable being here if "our tribe don't dig your vibe." The emphasis is on creativity, spontaneity, and improvisation. Most of us know each other here. Many of us are related. We use aliases just for the hell of it.

The funny thing about all this coming out right now is that I got asked if I was an Atheist this morning.
I responded the best way I know how. But have also come to understand that there isn’t any sort of definition for the way I believe.
So I can call it whatever I want right?
I'm am not a Catholic, or a Buddhist, or an Atheist.... I am a Spinfliest.
Couple of things you can call it, Spinny. People who don't take a position on the existance of God, one way or the other are called "Agnostics" (it means (don't know).
Then there are people who believe that there is a divine being or an ultimate first cause, a Creator or superconscouls entity of some sort, but don't specify as to which "God " it is, (Jehova of Abraham in the Old Testament, Brahma, The Great Spirit, etc.) These are called "Deists". Many of The Founding Fathers of our country were Deists.
Then, there is the idea that God is everything and that everything is God. Those people are sometimes called "Pantheists."
But "Spinfleist" works for me too.
Check out a little book called "The Book" by Alan Watts sometime. I think you might like it.
Another thought for you Spin. The great philosopher Socrates advised us to "know thyself." Now, as we've noted, "Gnosis" means "to know". And one who "knows" is a "gnostic". So if you're on Socrates' path to wisdom, you could say you are a "Spingnostic." Skogg would be a "Skoggnostic", etc.
The funny thing about "athiests" is that many (f not most) of them still have a "belief" system. I think of it like a "belief" coin with people who believe there is a God on one side, and people people who believe there isn't one on the other. They're both hung up with their beliefs on the issue and argue and bicker with each other constantly.
There is another coin. Let's call it the "know" coin. There you have people on both sides as well, the "gnostics" (people who know) and the "agnostics" (those who don't know). But these people don't fight with each other as much because they both have the same goal. To know.
That's my recommendation, by the way.
Be still and know.
